KINGS PLACE CONCERT ON 18 DECEMBER 2008

Fairy Tales and Goblins' Dances - a concert at Kings Place in London, 18 December 2008, 7.30pm
Matthew Trusler, Maya Koch - violins, Sara Koch - piano, Geraldine James and Andrew Wincott - narrators
.

The programme included music and recitations that have recently been recorded for a new CD to be released by Orchid Classics next year. Entitled “Fairy Tales and Goblins’ Dances”, the concert told the stories of Cinderella, elephants, pigs and other fascinationg creatures. Poetry by Roald Dahl, Edward Lear, Lewis Carroll, Spike Milligan and AA Milne, read by Geraldine James and Andrew Wincott, complemented performances by violinists Matthew Trusler and Maya Koch and pianist Sara Koch of wonderful and atmospheric classical works.

With the funds raised at this concert, the Foundation provided essential equipment for the neonatal unit at north London’s Whittington Hospital. The hospital – where both Lenny and his sister were born – is engaged in a capital fund-raising campaign to acquire equipment that the National Health Service is unable to provide.
